November 2005 - Stress, Work & PlayQuestion: I am a Teacher and I love my work but hate my job. Many of the children I teach just don’t seem to want to learn and I find it so difficult trying to deal with them and also work with the children in the class who do want to learn. It is so stressful for me, some mornings I just don’t want to get out of bed and face another day of fighting to be heard in the class room. What can I do? Answer: Firstly relax; I am sure you are not alone in your feelings. I get the impression that you have been feeling this way for sometime. Lose the negative emotions and get motivated to face each new day. This can be done using TFT, Hypnosis or NLP and they will certainly help you to feel happier and leaping out of bed each morning. Each day set simple goals for yourself that you know that you can achieve. Perhaps to try and reach one new child a day or a week to get them on your side while still helping the rest of the class to learn. The rest will follow. Your ultimate goal will be to get the ‘ring leader’ working with you. Perhaps make a few changes in the way that you teach I am a firm believer in ‘If it isn’t working – change it’. Just think how you would feel in the future when you hear about a ‘Captain of Industry’ making inroads and achieving so much – you sit back and think I remember him or her as a child and how awful they were in class – but now look at him and I helped to get him there. Question: I work in the armed forces and I have experienced terrible things and seen dreadful happenings to people. I cannot get rid of the thoughts and I relive them every day over and over again in my mind. I feel so frightened and I believe I have lost a major part of myself that I will never get back. It was so bad that I had to leave the Army but now I find it difficult to work again. What can I do now? Answer: It sounds from what you have written that you are suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and this can be helped with TFT getting rid of the negative thoughts quickly and simply. You will remember the past events but the pain and emotion will be gone. You will be much happier and see the clearer picture of what happened to you in the past and so able to live with ease now and in the future. Question: I play golf professionally and I was doing well up to about 3 weeks ago when suddenly I started to not play as well as I had. I have no idea what happened I have not changed anything and now I feel as though I have hit a brick wall. Do I sell my clubs? Answer: You do not sell your clubs! What you are going through can happen at any time the very best sports person no matter what sport from playing any sport to the professional. I would ‘hazard’ a guess that something has happened to you and it may have been a single thought and now it has grown to be a very large thought that you will never play as well again. Although this is a simple problem to cure it does need to be fixed quickly as the thought will get worse for you. A couple of sessions of TFT and hypnosis will help you to relax and get you back in the correct frame of mind to enjoy your golf again. When you are enjoying the game your play will improve naturally. |
